Impact of Global Warming on Forests
Forests
Climate change is lowering the health of forests around the world. As the temps. rises, weather patterns and the accessibility of water also changes, altering the quality of trees to survive. In Canada, forests cover almost half of the landmass and make up 10 percent of the world's forest cover. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere may encourage tree growth, the negative impacts of climate change are expected to far outweigh any benefits.
Forest dispersion and shifting
Canada forests are among the most vulnerable in the world to climate change because temps. are expected to increase more in the arctic, bringing with it changes precipitation. Scientists predict an increase in precipitation, it will likely not be sufficient to keep up to increased evaporation for rising summer temps.-leading to increase soil moisture. This causes more drought-resistant trees or grasslands to replace existing forests ecosystem.

The last 50 years, summer temps. Frequently exceeded the critical verge of the most valuable timber species of the North American boreal forest, the white spruce. Scientists predict that over the coming decades, that hot temps. associated with climate change will force this species to decline

Forest
The climate changes the health of the forest. As the tempetures rises the water is harder to find ,making it hard for trees to live. Like in canada , The forest are the main part of there natural heritage,Wilderness areas and economy. There will be changes percipitation . This will decrease the soils moisture. This will cause more drought resistant trees. Grass land may replace the forests. In the last 50 years summer temps. Have grown to high tempuratures. This may make animals go exstinked.
Like treeline elevaton is determined by growing season temperatures. As global temp rises treelines are expected to advance upslope. This will shrink the alpine environment and changing the wild life habitate.Climatologists think that a rise of temperatures of 3.25 degrees celsius would be equivalent to an ecological shift upwards of aboukt 500 meters in altitude.Forest Fires, Hotter and drier summers are most likely more forest fires. Warmer temperatures are also expected to increase disease and pest infestations in the forestest.

Forests

Climate change is threatening forests around the world. As the temperatures rise, weather patterns and the availability of water also change, altering the ability of trees to survive. This could force forest types to change their ranges faster than they can.
Although more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would help trees grow, the negative effects of the climate changes are much more than the benefits.
Forest dispersion and Shift
The most vulnerable forests are in Canada because they are closer to the arctic and when the temperatures increase there will be more precipitation. Although the precipitation will increase it will not be enough for the dry summers to come. Also, it will cause more drought resistant trees and grasslands to take over the forests ecosystems that are living there. K.V.
Forests is the main habitat for a lot of wild animals. It has the main things that we need to such as oxygen and paper. It takes many trees to make our paper. Forests contain trees and wildlife such as toucans and bears. Forest also have water in there trees.
There are many different kinds of forests. They all have there own different kind of trees. Canada has one kind of forest full of trees. There are rain forests in the zoo and there are just woods. These are all the kinds of forests in the world.
