What is Renewable Energy?

Renewable energy. March 21, 2009. <http://envocar.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/renewable-energy.jpg>

Renewable energy is sources that never gets used up, an energy source that is infinite ( the sun, water, or wind) or repeatedly renewing like solid waste. Most renewable resources can be used in large scale wind, solar electric power plants or on rooftopsfor electricity and heating purposes. This kind of energy can heat our homes, give us electricity so we can see in the dark. We all rely on it, every nation, everyone in the world, renewable energy is very, very important.

We should use renewable energy because its more cleaner then fossil fuels and nuclear fuels used to generate electricity, energy is very important to everyone around the world, many nations rely on renewable energy, if we can generate our own rewnewable energy with rewnewable resources, then we won't have to rely on oth countries for our energy.

Renewable energy and Types of it

Solar energy

Solar energy grows 30% annually, In ten years it will be a multi millon dollar business, but it is just beggining to be promted in the U.S.  To help with uses of less energy you could turn down the heat in summer and turn up the air conditioner in summer.  Solar energy creates clean energy that will never run out.  More than 29 millon homes in the U.S already use solar power.

Fossil Fuels

Fossil Fuels ar nautral gas, oil, and coal.  They are extremly harmful to the envirment and humans.  There fumes collect in the atmoshere just like in a green house.  We use petroleum at such a massive rate enough cant be minned/prduced.  Switching from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy is vital to saving are enviroment and life.
